Former Bengals RB Joe Mixon reportedly done with NFL

Not all that long ago, we noted that former Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon was falling off a few league-wide rankings lists.
Not surprising, considering a report back in January suggested Mixon’s career was “in doubt” due to injuries.

Fast forward to now, Mixon has reportedly told former teammates that he’s done in the NFL, according to KPRC-2 Houston's Aaron Wilson.
Wilson said the following on his show: "He has told some friends, players for the Cincinnati Bengals, where he played before, that he is not going to play football anymore."
Mixon had a stellar debut year with the Houston Texans in 2024 before an injury cost him all of 2025 before he got cut. He reportedly underwent another surgery this offseason, with Wilson alluding to blood flow issues in his foot being at least part of the problem.
Given this new information at this point, there’s unfortunately no reason to think Mixon will be one of those names who finds a new team during training camps around the NFL.
