2 players exit 49ers 1st training camp practice with apparent injuries

The San Francisco 49ers on Sunday opened their training camp schedule and had two players exit the session due to apparent injuries.
The Athletic's Matt Barrows reported that reserve offensive tackle Vaderian Lowe and veteran wide receiver Christian Kirk both exited the session early.

According to Barrows, Lowe never returned to practice after limping off the field. Kirk was also absent for the rest of practice after being escorted off the field with a trainer.
Acting head coach Chris Foerster spoke with reporters after Sunday's practice and was mum on providing any real injury updates. That makes it unclear exactly what ailments each player is dealing with. The updates will need to come via their participation in ensuing sessions.
Lowe figures to take on a swing tackle role for the 49ers this season after signing as a free agent. He spent his first four NFL seasons with the New England Patriots and started in 25 of his 46 with them.
Kirk could be a key veteran reserve in the 49ers receiving corps. There's a version of their starting group of pass catchers where he's on the field in three WR sets ahead of rookie De'Zhaun Stribling or fellow veteran Demarcus Robinson. Kirk played in 13 games for the Houston Texans last season and caught 28 balls for 239 yards and one touchdown.
The 49ers are back in action again Monday.
