Tom Brady will be delighted as Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty reveals drastic offseason change
· Yahoo Sports
Sophomore Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty has admitted he has had to make some serious changes this offseason to his diet.
After being selected as the sixth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Jeanty ran for just shy of 1000 yards in his rookie season.

Considerable changes have happened since the end of the 2025 season in Vegas, with Klint Kubiak securing the head coach job after winning the Super Bowl as the offensive coordinator in Seattle.
The Raiders will be hoping the addition of Tyler Linderbaum will help Jeanty going into his second year in the league, but the onus is also on the running back to improve himself.
One of the ways in which Jeanty is looking to improve is through his diet, with some significant changes being made to what he puts into his body.
Raiders co-owner Tom Brady is a huge advocate for eating and drinking the right things, which will certainly please the seven-time Super Bowl winner.

The Raiders will struggle not to improve on last season following their 3-14 record under Pete Carroll.
Improvements to the roster and the coaching staff should suggest a more productive season is set to come from Jeanty, who is also putting in his own work to improve.
“The biggest thing to lose from my diet was definitely sugar. I love candy, all of that, so just really cutting that down and dialling it in more for sure,” Jeanty told CBS.
“And then just working out, really building up my cardio, and getting in better shape. I didn’t feel like I was in good enough shape last year, so being able to play longer than everybody and be more physical longer, I think it’s very important at running back.”
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf shocked everyone when he explained just how much candy he ate on a daily basis, despite maintaining an incredible physical stature.
“My go-to was Sour Patch Kids. Sour Patch Kids, man – I’m killing that whole bag. No question,” he added.
However, the 22-year-old has now cut out his candy eating ahead of the 2026 season.
What Tom Brady previously said about the importance of his diet
Speaking about his own dietary decisions, Brady shared his process whilst he was playing in the league: “It is hugely important. Like I said, I always try to treat my body like a Ferrari, like an F1 car.”
“At TB12, we recommend a mostly plant-based diet of natural, organic, and sustainable foods. The reason is simple: foods like fruits and vegetables are high in nutrients, fibre, and enzymes, and don’t include preservatives and artificial sweeteners that are often found in processed foods.”
No one has done it better in the NFL than Brady, who played 23 seasons across his career.
The 48-year-old will surely be delighted to see his healthy lifestyle being taken onboard by his players at the Raiders.
