Shohei Ohtani rare back-to-back Gold Logoman card sells for $11 million

Last week, Topps collectible trading cards revealed a rare gem ― a Shohei Ohtani back-to-back Gold Logoman dual autograph card.

This week, it sold for $11 million, becoming the third-highest public sports trading card sale of all time.
The card was pulled by an anonymous collector at Boca Sports Cards in Boca Raton, Florida. The anonymous collector sold the card to the Secure portfolio comprised of Kevin O'Leary known as "Mr. Wonderful", Matthew Allen known as "Shyne150" or "Bolillo Lajan San" on social media, and Paul Warshaw.
The only trading cards to be sold for more were the 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Dual Logoman Auto featuring both Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, which sold for $12,932,000 and a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card that sold for $12.6 million.
The exclusive Ohtani trading card includes two Gold Logoman patches and two on-card autographs, one Ohtani signed in English at the top, and in Kanji at the bottom. The first gold Logoman comes from Ohtani's two-homer game on the road against the Baltimore Orioles in which the Los Angeles Dodgers won 5-2 behind a perfect batting performance from Ohtani on Sept. 7, 2025.
He batted 1.000 that day as a designated hitter, going 2-for-2, accounting for two runs and two RBIs after crushing two home runs.
The second patch comes from his home run at Dodger Stadium earlier this season in a 5-2 loss to the Texas Rangers on April 12, in which Ohtani reached base three times and homered once. He batted 1-for-3 that day, tallying a hit, run and an RBI.
Previous Ohtani cards were sold but none as pricey as the back-to-back Gold Logoman dual autograph card.
A 1-of-1 Ohtani Gold Logoman card sold at a public auction for a record $3 million in December 2025, resulting in the highest amount paid for a baseball card in the hobby's ultra-modern era.
The card was sold on Lot No. 1 in Fanatics Collect’s December Premier Auction. It was so sought after that bidding reached $1.14 million in less than 24 hours after opening.
The previous public record for an Ohtani card was topped at $1,067,500 for a 2024 Topps 50/50 Shohei Ohtani Dynasty Black Logoman 1/1 PSA 9 at Heritage in March.
The new record for an Ohtani card ― $11 million.
