After winning a championship for every team he has played for, LeBron James is looking to win another one, this time with the Philadelphia 76ers. This is a big deal for Philly because the 76ers have not won a championship since 1983, and in fact, they haven't made the Finals since 2001.

It is a huge challenge to take on because the 76ers seem to struggle all the time in the Playoffs. They definitely had the talent to compete with the likes of Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler, and Ben Simmons all trying their best to lead this team past the second round.

Iman Shumpert believes LeBron James appreciates the challenge of winning in Philly

Considering LeBron has pulled off the impossible quite regularly during his NBA career, it is fair to expect that he will usher in a new era in Philadelphia. He won the Cleveland Cavaliers their first-ever championship while coming back from a 3-1 deficit.

James also led the Miami Heat to back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013, and lastly, he was the catalyst for the Los Angeles Lakers' much-deserved title from the 2020 Playoffs in the NBA Bubble. He has always stepped up to the plate, and the 76ers are another tough challenge.

Iman Shumpert is a former teammate of James back in Cleveland. He is quite familiar with James because of that, which is why he knows that taking on this challenge of playing for the 76ers is huge for the four-time Finals MVP. Bringing a championship to Philly after 46 years will be yet another amazing moment for the King.

"Every time he leaves somewhere, the story starts. I feel like Bron likes a challenge; he's still a kid at heart. There's a story there. He goes to Philly, they haven't won in 43 years, he gave somebody that hadn't seen it in 50, then he went and gave the Lakers and re-crowned them... The challenge lies in Philly now. He couldn't go to New York because they just won," Shumpert said to Shaquille O'Neal on The Big Podcast.

Shumpert brings up some valid points when it comes to James' motivation. It might have been an unconscious decision that he made, but it seems it could add to his legacy even more, which matters in all-time conversations, especially against Michael Jordan.
