MRVC Organizes Vendor Awareness Programme on TReDS

Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) organized a Vendor Awareness Programme on the Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS), in line with the Ministry of Finance’s initiative to strengthen the MSME ecosystem.

The programme was aimed at sensitizing vendors on the registration process, invoice discounting mechanism and the advantages of early payment through banks and Financial Institutions. MRVC officials highlighted the role of TReDS in improving cash flow, ensuring transparent transactions and facilitating timely access to finance for vendors.

An interactive session was also held, during which vendors’ queries on digital onboarding, invoice financing and compliance were addressed. The session provided useful clarity on the operational aspects of the platform and the benefits available to eligible vendors.

MRVC encouraged all eligible vendors to register on the TReDS platform and leverage the digital financing system for faster and more efficient payments. The Corporation reaffirmed its commitment to transparent, technology-driven and vendor-friendly procurement practices.
