What happened with WNBA fans that led to incident in Fever vs. Aces?

On Thursday night during the Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, a fan and another man were escorted out of their seats. What happened there?

After the Aces' Jewell Loyd and Jackie Young motioned toward the sideline and spoke with officials, the two people appeared to be escorted out. The Fever provided a statement to USA TODAY Sports with more information.

"Following a report of a comment directed toward a player, arena security spoke with the fan involved and witnesses, the statement from the franchise read. "Security determined there was no violation of the Fan Code of Conduct, the fan was not removed from the arena, but elected to leave. We consider the matter closed."

What Jackie Young said about the fan incident at Fever vs. Aces

"He was just chirping all game and I let him have it. Then he just made one that was a little bit too far."

More from Young via the IndyStar:

"Obviously, we don't want to see fans get kicked out," she continued. "But at the end of the day, we're human, too. So, you know, let's just show up to games, have fun."

What Chelsea Gray said about the fan incident at Fever vs. Aces

"I don't know the specifics, but stuff gets said on the sideline quite often. It wasn't directed at me. It was directed at Jackie and she told somebody, and clearly they found reason to kick him out. I'll just leave it there. I mean, if they didn't find any — they had a reason to take them out. So they're not gonna just do that for nothing."

An Aces PR rep noted to Gray that the fan chose to remain out.
