Bayern does, indeed, like Jeltsch (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)

There have been quite a few rumors of late linking Bayern Munich to VfB Stuttgart center-back Finn Jeltsch. Sport Bild’s Christian Falk says that Jeltsch would be a move for the future in Bavaria — not for this summer or as long as Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah will eat up the starting minutes:

Finn Jeltsch is a very interesting player for Bayern Munich. The player already knows that there is a kind of interest at the moment, but there has been no contact made with the agents or the defender at the moment. That’s because Bayern have enough in the way of players for the heart of the defence. Min-jae Kim told the press that he’s confident he’ll stay at Bayern Munich, and he’s confident with the role he’s playing. The South Korean international is the backup option at the moment, but he’s fully aware that things can quickly change with injuries. Normally, Jonathan Tah and Dayot Upamecano play in the first row. Of course, if he’s happy staying put, then you don’t really need another centre-back in the squad.

Jeltsch, for the future, has the potential to be an international player with the German squad. So, if a player like him is on the radar of the national team, then they’re automatically on the radar of Bayern Munich, as FC Bayern loves to keep top German nationals in their squad.

Jeltsch is one of the kids expected to get a long look from Jürgen Klopp for the season’s first international break in September. If he can continue to develop and increase his profile, his value will grow, too.

This season figures to be a key campaign for the youngster.

It looks like World Cup hero Ferrán Torres has agreed to join to Paris Saint-Germain. Now PSG and FC Barcelona will have to work out a transfer fee:

Playing time in big games could be an issue for Torres, but he will get paid — there is no doubt about that. Given that Luis Enrique has tended to preserve his best XI for the Champions League in the past two season, Torres could see good time in domestic competitions, but a starting role in key UCL games could be a challenge.

Fernández to City? (ESPN)

If Manchester City loses Rodri, it could immediately turn its attention to Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández to fill the void:

Füllkrug transfer falls through (Sport Bild)

Niclas Füllkrug almost had an exit from West Ham, but his potential move to Venezia fell through because the Hammers wanted to overcharge for the German striker:

Niclas Füllkrug will have to wait longer for his departure from West Ham. According to BILD, the former German national team striker had already agreed terms with Italian Serie A club Venezia. However, the transfer fell through because West Ham demanded too high a transfer fee.

Particularly bitter for the 33-year-old: Füllkrug no longer plays a significant role at the English Championship club. He is currently not training with the team, but is keeping fit individually. The striker even did not participate in the club’s official media day.

This is sort of a “bag” move by West Ham. Füllkrug is not in the club’s plans and is at the tail end of his career…throw the man a bone, here!

LFC, PSG still talking over Barcola (Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano)

Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly rejected a €115 million offer from Liverpool for Bradley Barcola, but the teams are still talking:

No big deal, but a couple of guys who loathe Bayern Munich just got new deals:

🤝 #Bayer04 has prematurely extended the contracts with Fernando #Carro and Simon #Rolfes. The Chairman of the Executive Board, Fernando Carro (62), will continue his work until June 30, 2029, and Sports Director Simon Rolfes (44) until June 30, 2031.
