One of the main subjects was the departure of Ronald Araujo, who is closing in on a loan move to Liverpool.
Fermin admitted he was sad to see a teammate and captain leave, but wished him well.
“He has come to say goodbye. It’s a shame, because he’s a captain and I have a good relationship with him. He has decided to continue growing and hopefully he will return next season,” said Fermin (h/t Diario SPORT).
Cautious on Ferran and Rodri
The Andalusian was also asked about Ferran Torres and potential new arrival Rodri, though he insisted he did not have much information.
On Ferran’s possible exit, Fermin said: “I don’t want to go into that, because I don’t have the necessary information. He is a good companion and a friend; I hope he decides what’s best for him.”

He adopted a similar stance regarding Rodri, who has reportedly chosen Barcelona after his MVP-winning World Cup.
“Rodri is a great player, but he is not at the club. Whatever Deco and the sporting management decide will be fine and, if it has to happen, it will happen,” he added.
Fermin on his fitness
Fermin, who won a decisive penalty against Nottingham Forest before being rested against Udinese, admitted he is still building up his sharpness after a difficult summer.
“Good. I still have to get into the rhythm, but I felt good. I wanted to play. It’s been a very hard summer, but I’m already well and looking forward to this season,” he said.
One would expect Fermin to play a key role for Barcelona next season as they look to replace the productivity of Robert Lewandowski and possibly Ferran Torres.
