NFR Registers 18.1% Growth in Freight Loading During July 2026

In its continued commitment towards efficient freight operations and timely transportation of essential commodities, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has achieved encouraging growth in freight loading during July 2026. N.F. Railway recorded a total freight loading of 1.105 million tonnes (MT) during the month, registering an 18.1% increase over the corresponding period of the previous year.

Several key commodities registered remarkable growth during July 2026. Cement loading witnessed a significant rise of 89.6%, while Dolomite loading increased by 42.9% over the corresponding period of the previous year. Container loading also registered a substantial growth of 45.5%, while Petroleum Oil & Lubricants (POL) loading recorded a growth of 3.6% during the month. Further, under the Other Goods category, loading of miscellaneous commodities increased by 10.0% during July 2026. The cumulative freight loading up to July 2026 reached 4.135 million tonnes, registering a 6.9% growth over the corresponding period of the previous year.
