Real Madrid have sent their congratulatory message to Paris Saint-Germain after Luis Enrique’s side lifted the UEFA Super Cup following a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in Salzburg.
The Parisian club added another European trophy to their growing collection, and one of the messages of congratulations came from the Spanish giants themselves.
Real Madrid took to social media to acknowledge PSG’s achievement and their latest success on the European stage.
“Congratulations to PSG and all their fans on their well-deserved European Super Cup title,” read Real Madrid’s message.

PSG overcame Aston Villa 2-1 to win the UEFA Super Cup, giving Luis Enrique’s side another major title and further strengthening their status among Europe’s leading teams.
Right now, PSG are chasing a place in UEFA Champions League history.
After winning the competition in each of the previous two seasons, the French champions have the opportunity to complete a third consecutive triumph.
That would put them alongside a Real Madrid side that achieved something no other club has managed in the modern Champions League era.

That run created one of the greatest dynasties in modern club football and remains a record that every dominant European side has struggled to match.
PSG, however, now have the opportunity to put themselves in the same conversation.
Having already secured back-to-back Champions League titles, Luis Enrique’s side enter the new campaign with the chance to complete a historic hat-trick.
