Manchester City had been linked with a potential move for the 26-year-old, who worked under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea. Tottenham Hotspur had also been credited with interest, but are working on a deal to sign Savinho from Manchester City.
Neto made 34 appearances in thePremier League for Chelsea last season, scoring five times and providing six assists. However, new head coach Xabi Alonso has deemed Neto disposable having often preferred a formation without natural touchline-hugging wingers.
Al-Hilal have now made their move and journalistSacha Tavolieri has revealed there is increasing confident from the Saudi side that a deal can be done. Neto's green light to the move has accelerated their pursuit, as Simone Inzaghi's side pursue another attacking addition.
Al-Hilalhave signed Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United for around £60m this summer, and had expressed interest in Everton's Iliman Ndiaye. The latter has turned down the approach, with the Senegal international keen to remain in the Premier League.
Should Neto make the move, he will link up with former Wolves and Portugal teammate Ruben Neves at the Saudi side.
