Twitter reacts to Broncos’ rookie wide receiver playing without gloves

· Yahoo Sports

If the casual fan watched Week 1 of the preseason between the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons, they may have noticed one peculiarity. Among all the players rotating in and out in the second half of the game was wide receiver Joseph Manjack, who finished tied with a game-high three catches for 40 yards, all in the second half.

Manjack's accomplishment is a good one for his preseason stock, but he also did it without gloves. In a world where one-handed catches rely on the stick factor of the gloves provided by teams, Manjack is a unicorn. Manjack's unusual style was profiled by The Athletic in 2021 when he was a freshman at USC.

Broncos Twitter/X was buzzing after seeing Manjack's unorthodox uniform choice. Here's a sampling of some of the reactions.

Manjack could continue to be a player to watch in over the next few weeks as he competes for a spot on the 53-man roster.
