“How Is This Even Legal?” – MLB Fans React To Angels’ Adam Frazier Making ‘Absurd’ Base-Running Move Vs Astros
· Yahoo Sports
LA Angels second baseman Adam Frazier had a notable moment in the series finale against the Astros at Daikin Park. In the second inning, with Josh Lowe on third, Frazier bunted to the infield but ran on the grass, blocking Astros 1B LaMonte Wade Jr.’s view as he threw home to tag Lowe.
It was a touch-and-go moment as Frazier ducked under the throw, and Houston catcher Christian Vazquez applied the tag. The home plate umpire ruled Lowe out at home, but the Halos camp requested an on-field review, and the call was quickly overturned. The runner was ruled safe, and LA extended its lead in the decisive game.

Fans were quick to share their opinions about Frazier’s unorthodox base-running display.
“Wow, Adam Frazier running in the grass after a bunt, causing Lamonte Wade Jr. to pull a throw to home plate !! How is this even legal @MLB @RoFlo This just happened in top of 2nd inning Let’s see if it affects the game?” one fan commented.
The Halos went on to pile on the runs against Houston, sealing an 18-3 win and the series. Zach Neto was the star of the show for the Angels, finishing 5-for-6 with a home run and seven RBIs. Besides Neto, three more players from the visiting side recorded two or more RBIs in the game, including Frazier.
Despite the Series Win, the Angels Are Nowhere Near Contention for a Wildcard Spot
LA might have secured a remarkable win over a divisional rival, but it is still 51-77 on the season, 16 games below the .500 mark, and a whopping 14 games behind the Astros, who hold the top spot in the AL West at 64-64.
LA is 12.5 games behind the team holding the last Wildcard spot in the American League. The Angels offloaded a bunch of players at the trade deadline and brought in fresh faces, but it seems they aren’t reaping any benefit yet.
They are 5-5 in their last 10 games and have a discouraging road record this season (21-41). The series win at Daikin Park could be a morale boost, but the team does not appear to be in contention for a wildcard spot.
