We can officially put the third-string running back competition for the Atlanta Falcons to rest. Tyler Goodson was already in the lead to take the spot on the depth chart beneath Bijan Robinson and Brian Robinson Jr., and he just slammed the door shot on the other contenders.

Watch Goodson take a handoff from backup quarterback Cooper Rush and take it all the way to the house for a 49-yard touchdown run against his former team, the Indianapolis Colts.

That puts Goodson at 56 rushing yards and a score on just four carries.

Goodson was also Atlanta's most-efficient rusher in last week's preseason game against the Denver Broncos, totaling a team-high 28 yards on seven carries.

Nathan Carter and undrafted rookie Cash Jones are going to have to find some other way to justify a spot on the 53-man roster, because Goodson is clearly the best rushing option after the Robinsons.

Atlanta leads Indianapolis 10-6 with under two minutes to go before the second quarter.
