Jeanty Suffers Injury

Multiple reports indicated that Jeanty left practice with a knee injury after landing awkwardly while attempting a diving catch.

“Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty left practice early after suffering an apparent knee injury,” wrote Raiders reporter Ryan McFadden of ESPN in a post on X. “During the team period, he was diving for a catch and landed awkwardly. He was helped off the field by trainers and couldn’t put any pressure on his right leg.

“Entire team took a knee and said a prayer,” McFadden added in his post, highlighting the perceived severity of the injury.

The prognosis on Jeanty was not immediately available, but the reporting surrounding the scene painted a rather grim picture.

‘Prayers up’

Obviously, this is a very concerning situation, and it led to a lot of reactions from the sports media world.

“Would be awful to see AshtonJeanty go down with a serious injury, especially given the bad luck he had as a rookie We’ll see how serious it is, but I would’ve loved to see Jeanty this year after that the Raiders actually invested in their OL,” wrote Jacob Infante of Pro Football Network.

“‘Entire team took a knee and said a prayer’ tells you everything you need to know about the severity of this extremely unfortunate injury Prayers up for AshtonJeanty, 2026 was about to be a magical season,” wrote Adam Koffler of Roto Wire.

“Very tough scene to watch at Raiders practice today. Wishing the best for AshtonJeanty,” wrote Alexa Belcastro of News 3 Las Vegas.

“AshtonJeanty iron-manned through 7 games of 30+ carries in 2024 alone, then survived an entire year of totaling the 3rd-lowest YBC mark per rush in 2025, just to suffer a scary knee in practice 3 weeks before his first regular season game with a now-formidable OL. Brutal,” wrote Raiders reporter Alex Monfreda.

“The Raiders have the potential to be a really fun team this season. But they absolutely need a healthy AshtonJeanty,” wrote Sam Block of ESPN.

“Prayers up for AshtonJeanty,” wrote Robert Griffin III.

Obviously, everyone is hoping for the best for Jeanty.
