Fox News' Emily Compagno joins 'The Five' as new co-host

Fox News' Emily Compagno will join "The Five" as the program's new co-host, the network announced Monday.
Compagno will make her official debut as a mainstay on "The Five" beginning Sept. 8. She will be joining longtime co-hosts Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino and Jesse Watters as well as rotating hosts Harold Ford Jr. and Jessica Tarlov who fill the liberal seat at the table.

Emily is a highly accomplished host whose energy and talent have made her a standout across FOX News Media, and we are thrilled to officially welcome her to the show," Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement.
"I couldn’t be more honored to join 'The Five,' a team I have long admired and have been fortunate to work alongside over the years," Compagno said. "Having an official seat at the table on what I truly believe is the most fun show on television is an incredible privilege. I am grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get started."
Compagno will step down as co-host of "Outnumbered" and a rotation of Fox News personalities will fill her seat until a permanent co-host is named.
Compagno first joined Fox News as a contributor in 2018 and joined "Outnumbered" as a co-host in 2021. She is also the author of the 2024 New York Times bestseller "Under His Wings," which was published by Fox News Books.
Prior to joining Fox News, Compagno was a criminal defense attorney and served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and as the federal managing attorney and Acting Director at the Social Security Administration. She was also a captain of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders cheerleading squad and was tapped as an NFL Ambassador to represent the league abroad.
"The Five," which last month celebrated its 15-year anniversary, is now the most-watched program on cable news. The panel show averaged 3.6 million total viewers, including 322,000 in the advertiser-coveted demo of viewers ages 25-54, during the second quarter of 2026, commanding more than 64% of all cable news viewers in the 5pm ET timeslot.
Additionally, "The Five" draws more Democratic viewers than CNN and MS NOW and is the No. 1 program among independents.
