Bryan Woo returns after taking an additional few days between starts to resolve shoulder discomfort that cropped up during his last outing on August 16. He’ll get the ball in the friendly confines of T-Mobile Park, where he has put up a 2.45 FIP and .208 opponent wOBA this season.
The Phillies will trot out lefty Jesús Luzardo to try to preserve a game from their trip to the Pacific Northwest. Luzardo is turning in a fantastic season for Philadelphia; you can read more about that and Wednesday’s pitching matchup in the series preview.
Lineups
The Mariners are rolling out…a lineup for Wednesday afternoon’s series finale (the lovely graphic is courtesy of Bee). Cole Young is not starting for only the second time this season; Brock Rodden will shift over to second base in his absence, with Weston Wilson, Jhonny Pereda and Patrick Wisdom all getting starts in the field. Cal Raleigh, riding a hot streak on this homestand, moves back up to the cleanup spot as the designated hitter.
