Fans can’t stop talking about Dejaun Love after 49ers’ De’Zhaun Stribling’s jersey decision

Stribling’s decision to wear No. 7 for the season has led to everyone focusing on the recently arrested NFL impersonator Dejaun Love, as he pretended to wear No. 7 on the 49ers before being exposed.

“49ers rookie WR De’Zhaun Stribling has changed his number from No. 15 to No. 7. And if you’re on the internet, you know that was Daejon Love’s number with the 49ers,” said one fan while sharing the news.

“Hope he clears the physical, mental, and emotional waivers so he can rock the 7,” said a fan, joking about viral comments made by the impersonator.

“Since they released Love, that number is open now,” said one fan.

“This guy’s agent was smart to put him in that number; now, this whole fake WR thing will be linked to him and get him more traction with the witty jokes that will come by commentators,” theorised one fan.

“Life imitates art,” said another fan.

Who is Dejaun Love? How is he linked to the 49ers?

Daejon Love was recently arrested for defrauding women out of an estimated $1.3 million by lying about being an NFL player.

He pretended to be a WR on the 49ers and spun elaborate lies that have recently gone viral to keep up the facade of being an NFL player.

This scheme has allegedly been active since February 2022, according to federal prosecutors. Love used his fake status as an NFL player to solicit real estate investments, with 27 reported victims so far.

Love’s recent arrest led to multiple videos and screenshots of conversations going viral, with Stribling’s jersey number change coming in the immediate aftermath of Love’s viral fame.
