SEDGWICK, Kan. (KSNW) — The Sedgwick Cardinals are looking to bounce back after a difficult 2025 season.
After years of success, Sedgwick finished 2-7 last season and is hoping to get back to its winning ways.

Longtime assistant coach Doug Mabry is back at the helm, leading a team with several new faces at different positions.
Henry Morse, who started his career as an offensive lineman, is making the move to quarterback this season.
Mabry and his team are eager to flip the script in the first week.
“Last season didn’t go our way, and this group is hungry to kind of flip the script a little bit. They know it’s going to take an awful lot of hard work. They know it’s going to take an awful lot of learning. But for me, I’m excited to be able to show some of our alumni that this group is capable of sustaining that success,” said Mabry.
Morse is hoping the Cardinals can put last season behind them and get back on track.
“I’m just hoping we play hard, and I’m hoping we win some games. Last year was kind of a step back from what we’ve been used to, and we’re hoping to bounce back from that,” said Morse.
Sedgwick will open the season Friday against Inman in KSN’s Game of the Week. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
