Sage demands Crystal Palace improvement despite first win of season

Crystal Palace boss Pierre Sage admitted he was unhappy with his side’s defensive display despite their 3-2 victory over Fulham.
Palace secured all three points in a closely fought contest thanks to a double from Tyrick Mitchell and winner from substitute Ben Chilwell.

But Sage acknowledged Fulham had enough chances to win the game and believes his side have plenty to improve on.
“The result is positive but I am aware of the game, but sometimes it is like this, you have to take the points,” Sage said.
“We didn’t play as we expected, I’m happy but disappointed for the other team and the coach because they had opportunities [to win] too.
“I am not happy with the way we defended, we have a lot of things to move. The confidence from this result can help us.
“It’s like with a car, when you put petrol inside you can drive.”
