After getting the better of the action in the first round, Pinto (13-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) pressured Spann (24-12 MMA, 10-7 UFC) hard in the next round by taking him to the mat and working ground-and-pound until referee Mark Goddard saw enough and waved it off for a TKO at the 0:55 mark of Round 2.

With four straight victories in the octagon, Pinto now has the second-longest active UFC winning streak at heavyweight behind only Valter Walker (five).

During his post-fight interview, Pinto sent a direct message to anyone who is critical of the heavyweight division and intends to keep taking over.

"You wanted to be entertained, there's the entertainment – now you know my worth," Pinto said in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. "Heavyweight big boys, we used to be called titans. Now we're made a mockery of in this division. Bloody disgusting. We were once kings, monsters among men. Give us some respect. The heavyweight division just got great again."
