One way to stay as caught up as the Browns will be is to follow our prospect previews starting now. We'll focus heavily on prospects who fit the team's projected needs in the 2027 NFL Draft. We are going to be looking at three players from the SMU-Florida State matchup.
The game may not be very close, but the talent within the game is going to be interesting to see unfold in 2026, starting in Week 1. Here are the five players we are looking at from the game.
PJ Williams, OT, SMU
One of the top offensive tackles from my summer scouting was SMU's PJ Williams. I had zero expectations going in but was blown away at what he is capable of after I was done watching him. From my report, "He is a true athlete in a big body, and he plays like it. I enjoy seeing him match up with several notable pass rushers and holding his own, in fact, even imposing his will on them at times. Williams also moves extremely well for his size and can be utilized in a variety of ways. He can be a bulldozer in the run blocking game and also anchor well when in pass pro."
Duce Robinson, WR, Florida State
Duce Robinson was my WR5 in a class that is LOADED with top-tier talent regardless of position. He was a top 50 prospect overall, and it came across in my summer scouting report why I enjoyed him as much as I did. From my report, "He uses his size and strength to overpower defenders in coverage and with the ball in his hands on the ground. He also showcases himself as one of the best contested catch receivers in the landscape of college football."
Kevin Jennings, QB, SMU
Jennings has played in a lot of big games in his college career. He has already helped lead SMU to a College Football Playoff appearance in his career, and in what will be his final season in Dallas, he is looking to carve out one more run. Jennings flashes a strong arm, puts good zip on his passes, and shows a dual-threat ability to keep defenses on their toes. Look for him to play well against an underrated Seminoles defense on Monday.
