College football is back in our lives. Whether you are a fan of it or not, the Vikings and their front office are going to be paying very close attention to a lot of players in the upcoming class. The 2027 NFL Draft is working up to be one of the better classes in recent memory.

One way to stay as caught up as the Vikings will be is to follow our prospect previews starting now. We'll focus heavily on prospects who fit the team's projected needs in the 2027 NFL Draft. We are going to be looking at three players from the Washington-Washington State matchup.
The game may not be close, but the talent on display will be interesting to watch unfold in 2026, starting in Week 1. Here are the five players we are looking at from Washington.
Demond Williams Jr., QB, Washington
Demond Williams Jr. is not a top quarterback prospect, but he is a fun one at the college level. He simply makes plays time and again for the Huskies and is someone that would've been highly sought after had he hit the transfer portal. He has a dual-threat ability to his game with an added bonus of being able to push the ball downfield. Washington State lost a lot of players to the portal, especially on defense, so this could be a showcase game for him.
Drew Azzopardi, OT, Washington
Washington's offensive line is something to behold in terms of experience and talent, led by Drew Azzopardi. He showcases some solid footwork, an ability to kick out when edge rushers try to bend around him, and a good base to handle bull rushers. Washington State doesn't have top talent on the defensive line, so this should allow him to showcase his skill set nicely.
Kolt Dieterich, C, Washington
Dieterich could be a fun study tonight while the Washington State defense isn't loaded to test him, but he is going to a new position. He played offensive tackle for the Huskies previously and is moving inside on the depth chart to center. Seeing how he handles shotgun snaps and getting the ball to Williams in general will be one test. The next will be his size as an interior defensive lineman and whether his strength holds up inside. If it all does, then he could be an interesting interior offensive lineman come April.
