Brunson called out Page after rumors about the former Bellator star’s UFC exit emerged. He is reportedly set to be removed from the UFC rankings, with the promotion looking increasingly unlikely to re-sign him. This comes after yet another lackluster decision win for the fighter renowned for his knockouts prior to signing with the UFC.
Page’s matchup against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris was the last fight on his contract. While he banked another decision win, his low output resulted in another lukewarm display. “Venom” was denied a post-fight interview and looks set to depart the premier mixed martial arts organization.
Brunson called out Page for a clash of “2 free agents.” This also means that Brunson is no longer with the Professional Fighters League. He parted ways with the UFC on a two-fight slump in 2023, following the cancelation of a bout against Roman Dolidze, and went on to sign with the PFL, where he fought only once, earning a decision win over Ray Cooper III in November 2023.
