Kaizer Chiefs star pictured in training, not picked for matchday?

· The South African

Khanyisa Mayo is back in Kaizer Chiefs training, but the striker wasn’t in the matchday squad for the win over Siwelele. What’s the story there?

Mayo is training, but hasn’t been picked

Striker Khanyisa Mayo is on the comeback trail after training for Kaizer Chiefs in preparation for the club’s 3-2 win over Siwelele. However, the former Cape Town City man wasn’t in the matchday squad. Perhaps this is a hint that he’s not yet match fit, but is approaching full fitness gradually. Next up for the Glamour Boys is a trip to Polokwane City. Long-term absentees, Thabiso Monyane and Langelihle Phili, won’t make the trip.
