Kaio Jorge was on the books of Juventus between 2021 and 2024 and tried to break into their first team, but a combination of injuries and a lack of first-team opportunities made it difficult for him to establish himself.

Just as he appeared ready to make his breakthrough into the senior side, Jorge suffered a serious injury that kept him out for more than 500 days. When he eventually returned, Juventus decided to sell him to Cruzeiro rather than keep him in a squad where regular playing time would have been difficult to find.
Jorge needed consistent game time to rebuild his confidence and demonstrate his ability. Juventus understood that allowing him to leave would give him a better opportunity to regain his momentum and develop his career.
Juventus included a sell on clause
The Bianconeri sold Jorge to the Brazilian side in the summer of 2024 for €7.2 million. However, they were aware that the attacker could develop into an important player in the future, so they protected their interests by including a sell-on clause in the agreement.
That decision could now prove particularly valuable for Juventus. Jorge has developed into one of the top players at Cruzeiro and is enjoying an impressive spell in Brazil, while his performances have attracted interest from clubs in Europe.
The attacker now wants to return to European football, and Bayern Munich have emerged as a potential destination. His form has made him an attractive option for the German giants as they consider approaching him.
Bayern interest could benefit Juventus
According to Calciomercato, Bayern Munich could make an approach for Jorge soon. Such a move would also be welcomed by Juventus because of the clause they inserted into the agreement when they sold him.
The Bianconeri have a 30 per cent sell-on clause in any future sale, meaning Juventus would receive a significant portion of the transfer fee if Cruzeiro agree to let Jorge leave.
Cruzeiro would therefore have a strong reason to demand a substantial amount for the in-form attacker, particularly with interest from a club of Bayern’s stature. A higher transfer fee would directly increase the amount Juventus could earn from the agreement.
After leaving Turin in search of regular football, Jorge has rebuilt his confidence and established himself as an important player in Brazil. If Bayern now take their interest further, Juventus could benefit financially from the decision to include a sell-on clause in his transfer.
