Lamb is preparing for the seventh year of his NFL career with the Cowboys. He shines as one of the top receivers in the league, having built a strong connection with star quarterback Dak Prescott.
Having made three playoff appearances in his career, Lamb wants Dallas to take the next step to garner more recognition as serious contenders. He spoke with media on Thursday to discuss the team’s prospects in 2026, per reporter Joe Hoyt. Safe to say he wants the squad to come out the gate on fire against their opponents.

“I want us to proclaim dominance,” he said today. “I want us to be who we think we are, and overall, only so many words can be said. And I’m very — I want to put it into action.”
What lies ahead for CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys this season
The Cowboys certainly boast an elite offense with CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott and George Pickens headlining it.
Their defense was a major weakness last season, being one of the worst in the league. Having retooled and added players to that side of the ball, Dallas should have a better shot at winning more games and making a case for a place in the NFC playoff picture.
Lamb missed three games due to injury, resulting in his numbers going down. He still impressed in most of his 14 appearances, making 75 catches for 1,077 yards and three touchdowns.
Dallas attempts to improve on its 7-9-1 record from 2025. Not only that, but the team also hope to make the playoffs after a two-year absence.
The Cowboys will start their campaign on the road, facing the New York Giants in Week 1. That matchup takes place on Sept. 13 at 8:20 p.m. ET.
