Bengals get another option after Commanders' late release

The regular season might be here, but the Cincinnati Bengals won’t stop looking at outside options.
Here’s another worth a brief consideration: Offensive tackle DJ Humphries.

The Commanders just released the 32-year-old Humphries just days before the season, perhaps attempting to shift him to the practice squad at a later date after some salary-guarantee manipulation.
A former first-round pick in 2015, Humphries was at one point potentially on his way to being a primary backup in Washington, if not starter.
The Bengals had previously cut Cody Ford well before final cuts, ending with Javon Foster and a slew of younger interior guys as backups on the final roster before claiming tackle Myles Hinton on waivers.
If the Bengals prefer a more veteran option with plenty of experience, though, Humphries is a new option available on the market.
