The Ravens will hit the road for Week 1, and they'll look to exploit a Colts franchise that has AFC playoff aspirations. Indianapolis improved several areas during the offseason, but its offensive line remains vulnerable on the right side entering Week 1.

Matt Goncalves is listed as the starting right guard, with Jalen Travis at right tackle. Both will face a difficult opening assignment against a Baltimore front featuring Trey Hendrickson, Nnamdi Madubuike, Calais Campbell, Travis Jones and several young pass rushers. The Colts can protect the unit by leaning on Jonathan Taylor and avoiding obvious passing situations. Quenton Nelson and Bernhard Raimann give Indianapolis an established left side, but Baltimore can move its most dangerous defenders around to create favorable matchups elsewhere.
Jesse Minter and Anthony Weaver also have the versatile personnel that's equipped to disguise pressure. Kyle Hamilton can align near the line of scrimmage, Roquan Smith is effective as a blitzer, and Hendrickson can attack from either edge.
Daniel Jones’ mobility gives Indianapolis another answer, but the Ravens should attempt to make him process late movement from a crowded pocket. Pressure through the interior would be particularly valuable because it can prevent Jones from stepping into deep throws to Alec Pierce.
Baltimore must first stop Taylor and earn the right to rush the passer. If the Ravens force Indianapolis into third-and-long situations, the Colts’ unsettled protection could become the matchup that allows Minter’s defense to control the opener.
