A sweet congratulations! Patrick Mahomes kicked off the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener with a kiss from his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
The 30-year-old quarterback, who tore both his ACL and LCL in his left knee at the end of last season, helped lead the team to a triumphant win against the Denver Broncos on Monday, Sept. 14. The final score of 31-10 saw the Chiefs’ first win.

At the start of the game at Arrowhead Stadium, Patrick was spotted jogging across the field and into the arms of his adoring wife, 31. The pair shared a sideline smooch as Brittany put her arms around her man’s neck.

Patrick’s younger brother, Jackson Mahomes, was spotted standing behind the pair, looking away from the PDA moment to give them some privacy.
Brittany, who started dating the NFL star when they were in high school, commented on Sports Center’s Instagram post of the moment, writing, “My baby❤️.”
The mother of three wore jeans and a matching jacket with silver heels for the first game. And she was cheering her man on when he scored his first touchdown after nine months of rehab and recovery for his torn ACL.

It was also a big game for tight end Travis Kelce, who wowed with a huge 59-yard run, much to the delight of his wife, Taylor Swift, and brother, Jason Kelce.
Before kickoff, Brittany shared her excitement for the new NFL season online.
“I’m so ready for this! 😎🗣️💯🔥,” she wrote on Instagram Stories before her husband made his return to the field.
Ahead of the game, Patrick got some precious messages of support from two of his three kids.
On Monday, Sept. 14, The Players’ Tribune posted a video on X ahead of the quarterback’s return to the field. In the emotional the video, Patrick and Brittany’s two older kids, Sterling Skye, 5, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, 3, could be heard telling their dad how much they loved him in audio messages shared with the outlet.

“Daddy, I love you! I’m so happy that he gets to go back to playing football,” one of his kids said in the clip.
“I love you so much,” another said. “Good job for all your rehab. We’re so happy to you get to play football again and we get to watch you. You’re the best daddy in the world!”
