The Boston Celtics have added a former college dunk champion to their training camp roster.
According to NBA cap expert Keith Smith, the Celtics have signed Gabe McGlothan to an Exhibit 10 deal.
McGlothan went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft after one season at Southeast Missouri State and four seasons at Grand Canyon. He appeared in 156 games between the two schools, averaging 10.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game while shooting 48.7 percent from the field.
McGlothan was named to the All-WAC Second Team in 2023 and the All-WAC First Team in 2024. He also won the 2024 College Slam Dunk Contest in dramatic fashion.
McGlothan needed a perfect score on his final dunk and delivered, throwing down his final attempt with seconds left.

McGlothan began his NBA career with the Denver Nuggets, who signed him to an Exhibit 10 contract before waiving him. He then joined Denver's G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold.
In 2025, McGlothan's G League rights were traded to the Noblesville Boom, the Indiana Pacers' G League affiliate. He spent the 2025-26 season with Noblesville before having his G League rights traded again, this time to the Maine Celtics.
Through 49 regular-season G League games, McGlothan has averaged 12.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. He's also shot 40.3 percent from 3-point range in his G League career.
McGlothan now has an opportunity to earn a spot on the Celtics' roster in training camp.
