Midco Sports bringing back same crew to call UND hockey games

Sep. 24—GRAND FORKS — Familiar voices will be calling UND hockey games on television this season.
Midco Sports is bringing back the same crew as last season to broadcast home games.

Alex Heinert will handle play-by-play duties. Jim Scanlan will serve as the analyst. Taylor Budge will host on the desk with a rotating group of panelists.
Midco will carry every UND hockey home game this season.
NCHC TV will stream every UND home game and every National Collegiate Hockey Conference road game.
The only three regular-season games that won't be on NCHC TV are a road game at Bemidji State (Oct. 9, CCHA TV) and two road games at Minnesota (Oct. 22-23, TBD).
UND has not yet released details about its radio broadcast, but the school has been in conversations with longtime play-by-play announcer Tim Hennessy about a return for his 47th season.
Hennessy is
no longer a full-time employee,
but the administration has discussed bringing Hennessy back under the same arrangement as the school's other radio announcers.
UND opens with exhibition games against Augustana on Oct. 2 and Manitoba on Oct. 3.
