No matter their record, the Houston Astros won their eighth American League West title in the past 10 years and will get to open the playoffs at home.
As division winners, the entire best-of-three series between the Astros (81-81) and Chicago White Sox (84-78) will be played at Daikin Park. The series begins with Game 1 at 4 p.m. Tuesday, with Game 2 at 4 p.m. Wednesday. A third game, if necessary, would be played Thursday, but the time is still up in the air, depending on how many other series are still being played that day. Game 3 will start at either 1 p.m., 4 p.m. or 7 p.m.

The first two games of the series will be televised by NBC Sports Network and streamed on Peacock. It could remain that way for the third game or get bumped up to NBC if it's one of the only games left that day.
