CRPF Agartala celebrates Hindi Day, honours competition winners

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a station-level Hindi Day celebration and Quarterly Hindi Meeting at its Group Centre in Agartala, with Sanjay Yadav, Inspector General, Tripura Sector, presiding over the programme as the chief guest. The event followed Hindi Fortnight 2026, which was observed from September 1 to 15 at the Sector Office, Range Office and Group Centre, Agartala. Various competitions were organised during the fortnight to create awareness about Hindi and encourage its use in official work. Officers who secured the first, second and third positions in the competitions were felicitated by the chief guest with certificates of appreciation and honorarium, while other officials were presented certificates and prizes in recognition of their performance. P.K. Basan, DIG, Group Centre, Agartala; B.C. Patra, DIG, Tripura Sector; Henzang, DIG, Range Agartala; Ramesh Kumar, DIG, Tripura Sector; and S.K. Ojha, DIG (Medical), Group Centre Hospital, Agartala, were among the senior officers present at the event. In his address, Sanjay Yadav read out the Rajbhasha Appeal of the Home Secretary and the Rajbhasha Message of the Director General, CRPF. “Hindi is not merely our language; it is a powerful medium of our emotions, culture and identity. It is the collective responsibility of all of us to respect and promote the use of Hindi as the Official Language,” he said. He urged personnel to make greater use of Hindi in their day-to-day official work and comply with the Government of India’s rules and instructions regarding the Official Language. Yadav also expressed confidence that CRPF personnel would make a significant contribution towards the promotion of Hindi and set an example by increasing its use in official work.
