Lady Pirates win Greensburg Invitational title

The Lady Pirates and Pirates hosted the annual Greensburg Invitational Cross County Meet Thursday. In the field, 15 girls' teams and 18 boys' teams hit the course in search of the title.
The girls opened the action, and Greensburg cruised to the title. The Lady Pirates had three harriers in the Top 10 and finished with a team-total 29 points.

Indy Genesis was second with 49 followed by Southport 79, Batesville 93, Bloomington Bobcats 130, North Decatur 139, Lawrenceburg 190 and Jac-Cen-Del 220.
Greensburg's Lulu Webb was the individual champion with a time of 20:29. Teammate Alaina Bedel was third in 21:15. Maria Scholle crossed the line fifth in 21:29 followed by Allison Bedel 11th (22:38), Josie Slaven 14th (22:57), Emma O'Sullivan (25:12), Chloie Davis (27:03), Avonlee Bohall (28:54) and Elizabeth Walden (30:58).
Batesville was led by Audrey Dieckmann in 10th place (22:38) followed by Aubrey Weberding 19th (23:35), Reillee Adams 20th (23:55), Addison McGuire (24:02), Zoe Martin (25:35), Aubree Spurlock (28:39) and Kaylyn Adams (28:56).
For the Lady Chargers, Rileigh Hash led the way in 17th (23:19) followed by Emily Baldwin (25:05), LaShay Dwiggins (25:25), Nora Amberger (26:34), Emmerson Gunn (27:10) and Jessie Biltz (31:01).
Norah Fromer led South Decatur with a time of 25:34. Brooklyn Ortman crossed the line in 36:48.
Lawrence North won the team title for the boys with 23 points. Indy Genesis was a distant second with 73. Greensburg finished third with 97 followed by East Central 128, Hauser 140, Lawrenceburg 156, Southport 199, Batesville 228, Trinity Lutheran 249, Bloomington Bobcats 267, North Decatur 267, Switzerland County 328 and Tri 378.
Lawrence North's Xavier Little was the individual race winner with a time of 16:12.
Greensburg was led by Quinton Walker in eighth (17:40). Braylon Brancamp finished 12th (17:58) followed by Benjamin Schneider 15th (18:13), Jackson Tekulve (19:02), Patrick Robbins (19:11), Conner Bedel (19:15), Henry Cora (19:23), Xavier Wade (19:34), Ethan Clifford (20:16), Landen Fuel (20:35), Kason Bedel (21:48), Roy Middendorf Zavala (21:56), David Lutterbach (22:39), Konnor Luers (23:20), Liam Hernandez (23:24) and DAvid Stallsmith (26:15).
Batesville was led by Cael Luhman (19:16) followed by Broderick Gibson (19:37), Duncan Fish (19:56), Luke Raver (20:03), Timothy Quillin (20:22), Rhett Gibson (20:25), Tripp Hertel (21:32), Lucas Gadberry (21:53), Gage Sullivan (22:04), Varshath Rajesh (22:08), Nicolas Tirado (23:25), Henry Jelinek (26:20) and Abraham Trossman (29:39).
The Chargers were led by Fletcher Hash (18:27). Clayton Ruf was next for North (19:46) followed by Declan Kellems (20:17), Logan Summey (21:38) and Elliott Barber (24:28).
South Decatur's Joe Morrow finished in 23:36 followed by Josh Chastain (24:18) and Daniel Chastain (26:28).
