Sark gets front row view of Texas RB commit's record breaking effort

Many coaches go to the high school games of recruits during their team's bye week. Texas Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian and several assistant coaches have been attending several games around the state of Texas, including the Richmond Randle game featuring UT commit Landen Williams-Callis. Williams-Callis didn't disappoint.

Sark and running backs coach Jabbar Juluke had a front-row seat for an epic performance. Williams-Callis rushed for an incredible 327 yards and five touchdowns on just 15 carries. He also completed his fourth pass of the season, this one going for a 26-yard touchdown in Randle's 78-0 win over South Houston.

This wasn't an aberration. This wasn't just a weak opponent. Williams-Callis has been doing this all season. The running back has already rushed for 1,166 and 17 touchdowns in just five games. He has four completed passes on six attempts of six from the wildcat formation for 73 yards and two touchdowns. He also has 26 yards on four receptions.

The 5-foot-8, 195-pound back scored on his first carry of the game, sprinting for 48-yard TD. He added TD runs of 14 and 76 in the first half and capped the first half with the TD pass. Williams-Callis has an incredible 16 touchdowns in his past three games.

The UT commit is also chasing the all time career rushing record for the state of Texas. Keagan Ash of Mt. Enterprise currently holds the record with 11,382 yards. Williams-Callis is just 2,662 yards shy of Ash with five regular-season games remaining and playoffs.

Will this production translate to college? The future Longhorn won't rush for 12,000 yards on the Forty Acres. But Sark is hoping the Houston-area star is as dominant as he is for his high school team.
