DeWitt, Mason advance to CAAC Silver Cup Final

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - DeWitt and Mason boys soccer will meet for the CAAC Silver Cup Championship on Wednesday after the Panthers topped Grand Ledge 3-0 and the Bulldogs defeated Eaton Rapids 2-1 in the semifinals Monday night.

DeWitt's three goals were scored by Drew Mion, Will Broderick and Carter Keefe.
Eaton Rapids led 1-0 at halftime against Mason thanks to a goal from Hunter Thorn 20 minutes into the game, but the Bulldogs got a pair of goals early in the second half to take control. Lionel Lara scored Mason's first goal and assisted on the second, which was scored by Gavin Brazaski.
Mason is 8-5-1 and DeWitt is 8-3-5. this season The two teams previously met on Sept. 8th, and DeWitt won 3-1.
DeWitt and Mason also played each other in the CAAC Gold Cup final each of the previous two seasons, with DeWitt winning 3-1 last fall and Mason winning 1-0 in penalty kicks the year prior.
