Kyle Juszczyk Reacts After NFL Rescinds $15K Fine for His Touchdown Celebration

Pass the juice — Kyle Juszczyk successfully won his appeal agains the NFL.
The 35-year-old 49ers star no longer has to pay a $14,926 fine to the NFL for his touchdown celebration during San Francisco’s 35-13 win over the Dolphins on Sept. 23, in which he pretending to drink juice. The NFL levied the fine thinking that Juszczyk was pantomiming drinking a beer.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the league rescinded the fine and said the reasoning was “because his celebration was simulating drinking a juice box, not a beer.”
The league said, “Mr. Juszczyk finally stated that the fine is hypocritical with the amount of Bud Light sponsorships surrounding the NFL,” according to Schefter.

Juszczyk celebrated the successful appeal on social media, writing, “#FreeJuice” in a post on X on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The initial complaint to Juszczyk from the league said, “Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste,” according to a previous report from Schefter.
Juszczyk reacted to Schefter’s initial report at the time, writing, “Can’t make this stuff up,” on X.
Many fans and sports personalities came to Juszczyk’s defense after the NFL issued the now-revoked fine. CBS Sports analyst and former quarterback JJ Wattsaid, “I’m just going to go out on a limb here…For a guy whose nickname is Juice, could it not be ‘reasonably construed’ that he is drinking… stay with me here… Juice?”
Jason Kelce also voiced his opinion on the matter. Kelce, 38, wrote, “Juszczyk should threaten to counter sue for defamation. How dare the NFL allege false accusations. No way they can prove he was chugging alcohol. He was chugging that ‘juice.’ ”
The former Eagles star’s beer company, Garage Beer, joked that they would pay for Juszczyk’s fine.
