Patriots Week 5 Injury Report
Patriots coach Mike Vrabel announced the following players are OUT for Sunday's game against the Raiders:
- CB Christian Gonzalez (Shoulder)
- CB Carlton Davis III (Neck)
- FB Reggie Gilliam (Ankle/Knee)
- CB Karon Prunty (Hamstring)
- CB Channing Canada (Hamstring)
- WR Mack Hollins (Calf)
Christian Gonzalez, who recently signed a four-year, $135 million contract extension with the Patriots, suffered a shoulder injury in the first quarter of a Week 3 matchup against the Jaguars. He did not play in Week 4 against the Bills and has missed multiple practices heading into Week 5.
After suffering a neck injury, Carlton Davis III will miss his second game of the season. He didn’t play against the Steelers in Week 2.
Reggie Gilliam suffered an ankle injury in Week 4 against the Bills. He was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice and didn't participate in practice on Thursday.
Cornerbacks Karon Prunty and Channing Canada both have hamstring injuries that limited them during practice this week.
Mack Hollins suffered a calf injury in the third quarter against the Bills in Week 4. His absence allowed Efton Chism III to catch the game-winning touchdown with one hand.
