My Week 8 fantasy football PPR rankings put three Ravens atop their positions, with quarterback Lamar Jackson, running back Derrick Henry and wide receiver Zay Flowers leading the board for Baltimore’s trip to Buffalo. Jackson missed Week 7 with an ankle injury, but NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said he’s “likely to return next week against the Bills.”
Visit likesport.biz for more information.
Buffalo has allowed 35.5 fantasy points per game to wide receivers and 25 to running backs, the most and fourth-most in the NFL. The Bills also rank 31st in expected points added per play allowed, per SumerSports, and only Dallas ranks lower.
These rankings are an early draft. Monday night’s Cowboys-Eagles game hasn’t been played, and its results will affect Dallas’ Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and Javonte Williams, as well as Philadelphia’s Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert. Players listed here aren’t guaranteed to play, and I’ll update the rankings before Thursday’s Panthers-Packers game at 8:15 p.m. ET and again before Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoffs.
The full positional rankings tables are at the end of the article.

Fantasy football Week 8 outlook
Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. (33) rushes the ball against the Indianapolis Colts in the first half at U.S. Bank Stadium. | Brad Rempel-Imagn Images
Houston, New Orleans, the Giants and San Francisco are on bye, so Malik Nabers, Christian McCaffrey, Nico Collins and Chris Olave are off the board.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts remains on injured reserve with a blood clot in his calf, so Tanner McKee starts again. Rams must continue to adjust with wide receiver Davante Adams missing six to 10 weeks with a ruptured hamstring, and Sean McVay said, “It’s significant when you don’t have a player like Davante, but we have to be able to adjust.”
Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. didn’t return to Sunday’s win over Indianapolis after injuring his knee. Jordan Mason played 63% of the snaps in that game.
Which quarterbacks lead Week 8?
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye (10) runs the ball against Chicago Bears | Patrick Gorski-Imagn Images
Jackson didn’t play last week, so we’re assuming he returns here. He is QB1 at Buffalo, which has allowed 23.5 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, third-most in the NFL. He’d thrown for 967 yards with six touchdowns and one interception before the injury.
Drake Maye is QB2 at Miami after he threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score in Thursday’s 30-24 loss at Chicago. The Dolphins have allowed 20.6 points per game to quarterbacks.
Josh Allen drops to QB3 coming off Buffalo’s bye. He leads all quarterbacks at 27.4 fantasy points per game, but Baltimore has allowed only 17.1 per game to the position.
Joe Burrow is QB4 against Tennessee after he completed 16 of his final 18 passes for 249 yards and four touchdowns in the second half at Baltimore. Prescott is QB5 against Arizona, which has allowed a league-high 17 passing touchdowns. Jayden Daniels is QB7 against Philadelphia on Sunday night after throwing for 759 yards and five touchdowns in four games.
Jacoby Brissett climbs to QB8 at Dallas, which ranks last in expected points added per play allowed, even though Denver pressured him on 50.9% of his dropbacks in Week 7. Kyler Murray is QB9 at Detroit, which has allowed a league-high 27 points per game to quarterbacks. However, Murray completed just 4 of 11 passes for 67 yards on throws of 10 or more air yards against Indianapolis.
Caleb Williams sits at QB12 at Seattle after throwing for 308 yards and two touchdowns against New England, because the Seahawks have allowed 13.5 points per game to quarterbacks, second-fewest. McKee is QB13 at Washington, which has allowed 23.9 per game, second-most.
RB outlook
Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry (22) runs the ball during the second quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals | Jamie Sabau-Imagn Images
Henry leads my running backs at Buffalo despite running for 45 yards on 17 carries against Cincinnati, his second straight game with a rushing success rate below 25%. Jackson’s return and a Bills defense allowing 25 points per game to backs keep him on top.
Kenneth Walker III is RB2 at Denver after Seattle held him to 36 yards on 14 carries. He’s still tied for the NFL lead with four games of 125-plus scrimmage yards. Kyren Williams is RB3 against the Chargers after 99 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries at Las Vegas, and Blake Corum is RB17 after 93 yards and a score on 17 carries.
Bijan Robinson drops to RB4 at Tampa Bay, which has allowed 15.5 points per game to running backs, third-fewest. Jahmyr Gibbs is RB6 against Minnesota, which has allowed 14.8 (second-fewest). Gibbs ran for 116 yards against Green Bay, and Dan Campbell said Gibbs should be fine after his left leg bent awkwardly on a late slide.
Josh Jacobs is RB8 against Carolina, which has allowed 26.7 points per game to backs (second-most) and gave up 258 rushing yards to Tampa Bay. Jacobs caught five passes for 55 yards and a touchdown in his return. Bucky Irving is RB9 against Atlanta after running for 106 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.
Breece Hall is RB15 and Braelon Allen is RB18 against a Raiders defense allowing 24.2 points per game to backs. Hall has missed four straight games with a quad injury, and Aaron Glenn said, “Breece is our starter, he’s always been our starter, but Braelon is going to get touches too.”
Tony Pollard is RB22 at Cincinnati after three rushing touchdowns against Cleveland, and Quinshon Judkins is RB23 at Pittsburgh after 96 yards and two scores. Mason is RB26, one spot ahead of Jones.

WR outlook
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (4) runs the ball during the first quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals | Jamie Sabau-Imagn Images
Flowers holds WR1 at Buffalo, which has allowed 35.5 points per game and a league-high 11 touchdowns to receivers. He has four catches of 40-plus yards, tied with Tre Tucker for the NFL lead. The Raiders receiver is WR25 at the Jets after a 37-yard touchdown against the Rams.
Lamb is WR2 against Arizona, which has allowed 10 touchdowns to receivers. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is WR3 against Chicago after catching nine passes for 150 yards and a touchdown on Sunday night, and he leads all receivers in catches, yards and touchdowns.
Ja’Marr Chase is WR4 against Tennessee after a five-catch, 62-yard day with a touchdown, and Tee Higgins is WR7 after six catches for 148 yards and a score at Baltimore. Puka Nacua is WR5 against the Chargers after playing through a calf injury and catching a 12-yard touchdown.
Omar Cooper Jr. climbs to WR20 against Las Vegas after back-to-back 100-yard games, while Garrett Wilson is WR15 after catching two passes for 26 yards against Miami. Luther Burden III is WR22 at Seattle after 130 yards and a touchdown in Thursday’s first half, but the Seahawks have allowed 18.7 points per game to receivers, second-fewest.
A.J. Brown is WR24 at Miami after three catches for 48 yards. KC Concepcion Jr. is WR31 at Pittsburgh after eight catches for 129 yards against Tennessee.

TE outlook
Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride (85) takes the field before their game against the Denver Broncos | USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect (Reuters)
Trey McBride is TE1 at Dallas. Goedert is TE2 at Washington, which has allowed 18.9 points per game to tight ends, second-most.
T.J. Hockenson is TE5 at Detroit, which has allowed 24.7 points per game and 10 touchdowns to tight ends. No other defense has allowed more than 18.9.
Brock Bowers is TE3 at the Jets, who have allowed 7.8 per game to the position. Kyle Pitts Sr. is TE7 at Tampa Bay after scoring in a third straight game, and Hunter Henry is TE8 at Miami, which has allowed 17.2 per game, third-most.
Sam LaPorta sits at TE9 against Minnesota, which has allowed a league-low 5.4 points per game to tight ends. Travis Kelce is TE10 at Denver after four catches moved him past Cris Carter and Marvin Harrison Sr. into fifth on the NFL’s career receptions list. Colston Loveland is TE12 at Seattle after seven catches for 69 yards and a touchdown.

Kicker outlook for Week 8
Evan McPherson is K1 against Tennessee, which has allowed 9.4 fantasy points per game to kickers. Chad Ryland is K2 at Dallas, and Cam Little is K4 against Indianapolis, which has allowed a league-high 10.3.
Spencer Shrader is K5 at Jacksonville despite missing field goals from 56 and 48 yards at Minnesota. Harrison Butker is K9 at Denver after missing two of three field goals at Seattle, and he’s now missed a field goal in four games this season.
D/ST outlook for Week 8
The Rams lead my defenses against the Chargers, who have allowed 8.8 fantasy points per game to defenses, the most in the NFL. The Chargers also rank last in expected points added per play on offense.
Jacksonville is second against Indianapolis after Daniel Jones completed 13 of 22 passes for 108 yards at Minnesota. Pittsburgh is third against Cleveland, while Cincinnati is fifth against Tennessee after sacking Tyler Huntley four times and shutting out Baltimore in the second half.
Chicago is sixth at Seattle, which has allowed 7.7 points per game to defenses, third-most, and Sam Darnold is tied for the league lead in interceptions. Atlanta is eighth at Tampa Bay after forcing four turnovers against San Francisco, and the Buccaneers have allowed 8.3 points per game to defenses, second-most.
