Newkirk has been committed to the Crimson Tide since May 2026.

Alabama's 2027 class currently ranks No. 32 nationally with 16 total commitments, per 247Sports. Newkirk is one-of-two running backs in Alabama's class, joined by three-star Tai Phillips.
