‘Weakest call I have ever seen’: Brittany Mahomes criticizes referees after Chiefs’ loss to Broncos

The Kansas City Chiefs appeared to have pulled off a dramatic last-second win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday, when Patrick Mahomes found Rashee Rice for a go-ahead touchdown as time expired. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, a false start penalty wiped the score off the board, and the Broncos held on for a 28-24 victory.
Needless to say, Mahomes’ wife Brittany was not happy with the call, and she made that clear on social media after the game as she absolutely blasted the referees.

Touchdown Wiped Away
The Chiefs seemed to be on their way to a win in Denver on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, that’s not how it worked out.
Kansas City had squandered a 24-13 fourth-quarter lead, as Denver scored 15 unanswered points to take a 28-24 lead. The Chiefs mounted a comeback of their own and seemed to score a go-ahead touchdown, but it ultimately didn’t count.
Mahomes then drove the Chiefs from their own 44 to the Denver 1-yard line, where he hit Rice for what looked like the game-winner. However, officials flagged right tackle Jaylon Moore for a false start, nullifying the score and moving Kansas City back to the 6. On the ensuing fourth down, Malcolm Roach sacked Mahomes to end the game.
Replays showed Moore’s hip move slightly as he glanced toward Mahomes, but Chiefs head coach Andy Reid wasn’t convinced it was a penalty.
“I didn’t see it,” Reid said in his postgame press conference, via Yahoo Sports. “That’s one man’s opinion. I saw him move his head, but I didn’t see a false start.”
‘Cause It’s Us’
Shortly after the game, Brittany Mahomes took to Instagram to share her frustration with the referees.
“You can’t tell me you call that on a game winning TD, oh wait yeah I can cause it’s us,” Brittany wrote in a post on Instagram that was quickly picked up by Jomboy Media.. “That was the weakest call I have ever seen, you can’t tell me otherwise.”
Clearly, she was not at all happy with the decision.
