The Buffalo Bills have played very good football throughout the season, and much of that is because of production from guys who weren't expected to do much.

While young receiver Keon Coleman still hasn't played great football, at least in the sense of what everybody was hoping for when the Bills drafted him a couple of years ago now, he hasn't been bad by any means.

Coleman has three touchdowns and 287 yards on 20 receptions, good for 14.3 yards per catch. It would be questionable for a Bills team with offensive needs to move on from a guy who has played this way, but it's also fair to mention some of the other needs they have on the defensive side of the ball.

The problem for the Bills is that he might not be part of their long-term plans, which Dan Graziano of ESPN recently suggested could be the reason why he gets dealt.

“Wide receiver Keon Coleman. Coleman has played well enough to stay in Buffalo’s short-term and maybe long-term plans. But I’m not sure this team will trade anyone. So consider this pure speculation that Coleman could be attractive enough to a receiver-needy team to bring back the defensive help Buffalo seeks,” Graziano wrote.

As Graziano touched on here, a lot of this will come down to whether Buffalo can get the return it's looking for in a defensive player who can come in and make an impact.

The Bills have proven over the past couple of years that they're right on the doorstep of winning a Super Bowl, and it seems like they're in just as good of a position as any team in the NFL to once again be in that spot. However, it goes without saying that they have needs all around, so the Bills will have to address them over the next week or so.
