In a dressing room packed with world-class footballers, Mastantuono went on to name Jude Bellingham as his most favourite Real Madrid player, saying:
“I love Bellingham, he’s my favourite player at Real Madrid. Although there’s Vinicius, Mbappe, Valverde, Brahim, who’s fantastic. Now Diomande, Espe. They have a great team.”
On adapting to Serie A football
Mastantuono finished his first season at Real Madrid with a tally of three goals and an assist from 35 matches in all competitions.
Having moved to Fiorentina on loan in the summer, the teenager has already exceeded his goal tally from last season.
Indeed, Mastantuono has four goals from ten matches for the Serie A side, including a hat-trick against Venezia, helping the team win 4-2.
His other goal came against Sassuolo this past weekend and coincided with Fiorentina’s only second win of the season.

Talking about his adaptation to the style of football in Serie A, Mastantuono commented that it was very much similar to what he had experienced in Argentina with River Plate.
“It is a league similar to the Argentine leaguein terms of physical play and I like it a lot.”
Continuing, he added: “It’s very different from the Spanish league. All the teams have a lot of technique, and that makes it a league with more possession, not so much dribbling, but it’s nice too.”
While Fiorentina have been disappointing so far this season, Mastantuono has shown glimpses of his talent and potential.
The 19-year-old gem will be hoping to enjoy a solid campaign and return to Real Madrid in the summer to push for a spot in Jose Mourinho’s plans.
