Five-star combo guard Dylan Mingo officially committed to North Carolina, ending his recruitment after months of visits. In the end, Mingo picked North Carolina over fellow finalists Baylor, Penn State and Washington.

The addition of Mingo now gives North Carolina a two-man class in 2026 and two top 25 players in the class. While it's only a two-man class, it's a great start and gives Hubert Davis something to work with, along with the transfer portal.

Mingo made his decision live on ESPN's "First Take," committing during a segment with Stephen A. Smith.

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound combo guard hails from New York and plays at Long Island Lutheran. He's ranked No. 5 nationally, No. 2 combo guard, and No. 1 player in the state of New York per the 247Sports composite recruiting rankings.
