According to multiple reports, Crimson Tide star guard Aden Holloway was arrested on a felony drug charge, just four days before the tournament tips off. The Tuscaloosa County police spokesperson Stephanie Taylor said Holloway was arrested Monday morning and transported to the Tuscaloosa County jail after agents "recovered more than a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia, and cash."

Holloway has been charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and failure to affix a tax stamp. His bond was set at $5,000. Per Alabama law, the first-degree possession charge can carry a penalty of up to 10 years in jail and a fine of $15,000.

Holloway has been one of the best players on the court for Alabama this year, averaging 16.8 points per game and shooting 43.8% from beyond the arc. He also adds just under four assists and three rebounds per game so far this year.
