The Atlanta Braves announced Tuesday that right-hander Didier Fuentes has been recalled to Atlanta as a result of moving lefty Dylan Lee to the paternity list. The move continues the rollercoaster of options for Fuentes, who was recalled last week before being optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett again.

In three appearances so far this season, Fuentes has not proven to be spectacular. He’s got a 5.00 ERA through nine innings of work. However, his return gives Atlanta a fresh arm in the bullpen while Dylan Lee is away, and another shot to show he can provide value at the major league level.

The Braves will certainly miss Lee, who has already appeared in 14 games and allowed just two runs on six hits. Fortunately, his absence is expected to be short-term, and Atlanta’s bullpen will regain one of its most reliable arms soon.
