Menšík defeated Brazil’s Fonseca in straight sets (6-4, 6-3, 7-6 (3)) on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the French Open at Roland Garros. With this victory under the closed roof of Court Philippe-Chatrier, the 20-year-old became the youngest Czech man in history to reach a Grand Slam semifinal.
During his speech after the match, Menšík kept his eyes on his mother, Katerina. She was seen enthusiastically clapping and making heart-shaped hand gestures.
His girlfriend, Josefina Catino, was also at the Court Philippe-Chatrier. The couple has been together since 2025, and Catino has embraced the tennis lifestyle, calling Roland Garros her favorite tournament to attend.
