Quick Race Overview
The race featured several different contenders throughout the afternoon.
Hamlin led 28 laps, while Nemechek paced the field for 42 laps and Christopher Bell led 18. Larson and Reddick also spent time at the front as strategy and track position played a major role on the long Pocono straightaways.
While Hamlin celebrated in Victory Lane, several notable contenders endured difficult afternoons.
Christopher Bell faded to a 26th-place finish despite leading laps. Joey Logano finished 34th after ending the race four laps down. Brad Keselowski’s day ended early, resulting in a 38th-place finish.
The strong run by Reddick helped continue a consistent season for the 23XI Racing driver, while Byron added another solid finish for Hendrick Motorsports as the battle near the top of the regular-season standings tightened entering the next stretch of the schedule.
For Hamlin, however, Sunday’s race was all about adding another Pocono trophy to an already impressive collection. Few drivers have enjoyed more success at the “Tricky Triangle,” and he once again proved why Pocono Raceway remains one of his best tracks.
